Every time someone does one of these ridiculous “hottest ever curry” competitions they need to consider real recipes and real food. It’s easy to poison people but it’s not very clever.
Our industry contributes many millions of pounds to the economy but we are often treated as some kind of tin-pot joke food. This kind of headline does us no favours. It was for a good cause but was certainly badly thought through. Would a French restaurant do a most Garlicky snail competition? No.
